Ice cream time

We managed to persuade Will away from the Olympics to join us for an ice cream in the garden this afternoon after he'd watched the fantastic GB wins in the rowing but not for long.

He's now back cheering Andy Murray

Can GB retain the Davis Cup?

Will usually feels blue after Wimbledon has finished but he's still smiling because: a) Andy Murray won and b) the Davis Cup starts today.

Wishing the GB team lots of luck

Wimbledon and Wales

Will is literally on the edge of his seat.

Men's quarter-finals @Wimbledon today - hurrah for the sunshine - and then Wales play Portugal in the semis of Euro 2016 later.

I know Andy Murray will have a very difficult match as I saw Jo-Wilfred Tsonga play at Wimbledon a few years ago.  He's very good.

Will is anxious about his favourite Roger Federer because Marin Cilic is a dangerous player on grass.

He’s going to need a lie down afterwards and definitely chocolate whatever the results – to celebrate or as consolation.

We're all crossing our paws for Wales.

I'm back

Hello, I'm back.  Sorry I've been gone so long.

I'm now retired from Claremont School - I was getting a bit too well loved - so I've got more time to work on my blog.

I've got lots to tell you about since I last wrote and some new friends to introduce you to as well.

First I'd like you to meet Will the Monkey.  We met in America in 2004 and although he didn't come on the Big Adventure Will has joined me on quite a few other trips.

Here we are on a sunny day in Suffolk

You can find out more about Will from his blog, which is linked to this one.
