Olympic Opening Ceremony

I’m looking forward to watching the Opening Ceremony for Rio 2016 though I don’t think anyone will be able to beat what Danny Boyle did in 2012.

What was even better was I got to watch it on an open-air screen with lots of other people.

We stood for the National Anthem and everybody gasped when the Queen turned round and it was really her.

Unfortunately about an hour into the ceremony the heavens opened and we got drenched running back to the car. A Union Jack flag doesn’t provide much shelter even for a teddy bear.

When we got home I had to use a hairdryer to get the damp out of my fur so I missed some of the ceremony but managed to see the end.
